I love our weather… most of the time.
The weather today? It’s sunny today in Myrtle Beach, SC, and the high is forecasted to be 63°. This week has been unusually cold though, with today warming up some. The low on Tuesday was 23°, which is INSANE for Myrtle Beach. Our coldest month of the year is typically February, with the average lows being in the 40’s and the average highs being in the low 60’s.
Our weather/climate is considered subtropical because we are located right on the equator. Our typical yearly weather? The hottest months are July & August with temps typically in the 90’s during the heat of the day and upper 70’s during the evenings. The coldest months are January & February with temps typically in the mid to upper 40’s at night and low 60’s during the day. March & April are similar to September & October – with temps usually in the upper 60’s or low 70’s; both day and night.
It doesn’t rain much except on those especially hot summer days, when we will have a late afternoon shower or two. We rarely have tornadoes and our biggest threats are hurricanes, which I happen to love. I don’t have any complaints about our weather except for the humidity in the summer. It does nothing for my thick hot mess of hair.
When you’re sick what do you seek comfort from?
I’m such a baby when I’m sick and want my daddy. Yes, even at 30 years old. I guess it’s because he’s the person I trust most in this world to protect me from harm. If I’m sick or hurt, I don’t believe anyone—not even the doctor—when they tell me I’ll be okay until I hear it from my daddy.
I also find comfort in the form of chicken noodle soup, cozy blankets, gossip magazines, and cheesy romantic comedies.
What do you need to do before the end of the month?
Pay the remaining charges for my old apartment and sell my old iPhone.
Have you ever served on a jury?
No. I was summoned once but got out of it because I was still in college at the time & would miss classes.
If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?
The honey badger. He’s nearly immortal. He takes what he wants. Honey badger don’t care. And everyone loves the honey badger.
