My beliefs -
Christian and primarily Baptist
I was raised by a Christian family and I attended church at First Baptist Church. I went to church every Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday night. The central belief that classifies a Baptist denomination over another is the belief of "believers baptism" versus infant baptist. In other words... Baptists make the choice to be baptized once they pronounce their belief in Jesus Christ rather than being baptized as an infant. They practice baptism by complete immersion versus sprinkling and I was baptized when I was 8 years old.
According to Wikipedia (and we all know that Wikipedia is the holy grail of information), Baptists have been very diverse from the beginning and the majority of them greatly differ from what they believe in regards to how they worship, view other Christians, and their understanding of what is important in Christian discipleship. I would have to say that I agree with this statement. For example, my parents are much more conservative in their beliefs... BUT I would still consider myself Baptist.
