Before I go any further--I must mention the amount of snow on the ground in Massachusetts. It was INSANE. Sarah said she doesn't ever remember there being this much... I was amazed. & the poor things are expecting 10-12 more inches this week. Dios mio!
The next morning, we spent the majority of our time fussing over Sarah's newborn baby girl--Emily. She is sooooo precious and such a good baby! She hardly cries at all... only when she is hungry... which is positively divine.
disregard the disheveled hair & Stephanie Tanner grin
After shopping for a bit, we ate lunch at Ruby Tuesday. I am obsessed with their salad bar! We headed back to Abington after lunch... and after we loaded up on snacks at the Stop 'N Shop. We spent the rest of the afternoon/evening being lazy, socializing with Marcus (Sarah's husband) when he got home from work, and eating pizza.
We slept on the couch at Sarah's and B was kind enough to offer his services for overnight feedings. Surprisingly, I rarely woke when he got up with her. B is quite possibly the biggest baby loving man I know. Anyway, the next morning we woke up fairly early because we had plans with his father. We drove down to Plymouth and visited w/ his dad... ate a little takeout (chicken/bacon/ranch wrap)... and watched some hilarious home videos!

Around 4 PM, we headed back to Sarah's house to meet Marcus. We relaxed for a few minutes and then we headed to the next town over for dinner. I swear, I feel like I ate more this weekend than I have the entire month at home combined! We went to a place called The Fours because Sarah & Marcus had a gift certificate. It was a nice sports themed restaurant and bar. I had the BBQ Cheddar Bacon burger--which was the second meal that day with bacon on it. Hmmmm... healthy! I haven't even mentioned the pint of Ben & Jerry's Cinnamon Buns ice cream that I got from the store that I munched on all weekend too.
Two of their good friends (Matt & Laurie) ended up meeting us there and we had a few drinks and talked about all the funny differences between the north and the south. The thing that stands out the most to me--by far--are the overall attitudes of people. I am afraid to even smile at a stranger in Massachusetts because they all look like they might punch me if I do! I smile at everyone I see here! :)
Anyway, after dinner we headed back to Sarah's and called it a night. The next morning was another fairly early one. We had plans to travel to Nan's house to celebrate the January-March birthdays in their family. It is something they have always done, which I think is nice. Nan lives in Wareham, which is about an hour drive from Sarah's house. A lot of his family was there including aunts, uncles, cousins, and the like. It was a nice little gathering... and we had brunch (cold cuts & egg salad sandwiches).
After visiting for a while, we drove back to Sarah's... relaxed for about an hour... and then went out to eat again! We went to a locally owned place called D'Ann's where we had MORE pizza. It was delicious though! Once we got back to Sarah's, I went to sleep pretty quickly because we had to get up super early to catch our flight.
Again, B's dad picked us up and drove us to the airport. Our flight left at 5:40 AM, and therefore, we had to wake up around 4 AM. Talk about brutal. We arrived back at the beach at 7:30 AM & Jeff picked us up. I still haven't been to sleep since I got home. B's mom is in town for a few days because they are putting their house that we rent from them on the market & she has to get a bunch of stuff in order. I wanted to make sure the house looked nice and that she didn't have to do much to it before meeting with the Realtor. With all that being said, I am soooooooooooo exhausted and could sleep for days on end. I plan on doing absolutely NOTHING next weekend so that I have a chance to catch up!
I hope you all have a great week!! XOXO
hahaha at the random Stephanie Tanner reference!
