But as I have gotten older, I have come to appreciate our weather patterns and lack of snow. There is a reason the majority of our full-time residents are originally from places like Ohio, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and New York. They moved south to be close to the ocean and enjoy the warmer weather and lack of snow.
However, the past two years have been freakishly colder than normal in Myrtle Beach. Global warming my ass. According to our Chamber of Commerce, the average temperatures for Myrtle Beach are as follows:
December: Average Air Temp: 60
January: Average Air Temp: 56
February: Average Air Temp: 60
Another fun fact:
Average Number of Days that Temperatures are 90 degrees or above: 65
December 2010 on average was nearly 10 degrees colder than December 2009 in the Myrtle Beach area, according to weather officials. The month's average temperature was 39.1 degrees compared to 48.9 degrees in December 2009, said Tim Armstrong, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Wilmington, N.C.
YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME! Anyway, the reason for this post is because there is a chance of snow tonight... which will make this the second time this season it has snowed here. That is unheard of... and so in an attempt to cheer myself up and think of nice happy thoughts like Springtime and sunshine... I decided to share a few new arrival items that I would like to purchase for the warmer weather.
& to further cheer myself up... the three following items are ones that I am still saving up for... I know I have mentioned them previously... but they are worth mentioning a million times.
