Favorite Quote: So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservatism, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality--nothing is more dangerous to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun. -Christopher Johnson McCandless (aka Alexander Supertramp)
Random Things about me:
.) I sit cross legged like a child everywhere everyday... at home on the couch, in the passenger seat of a car, at my desk at work, in restaurant booths. Everywhere.
.) I drive like a grandma... not like slow like a grandma... but my actually sitting position. I sit straight up, near the steering wheel, hands at 10 & 2, and with a seat belt always. I don't drive like that because I'm nervous or proper but simply because I feel most comfortable that way.
.) I have (and have since I was very young) a pencil blister the size of Kilimanjaro. I bear down hard when I write... no matter how hard I try not to... I just can't help it.
.) With the exception of the pencil blister, I love my hands. Isn't that weird? It might be my favorite thing about my outer self. I was just blessed with quality nails and long, skinny fingers. My feet are pretty cute too! ;P
.) I hate eating one thing for a meal. I gotta have a variety... a side... a little bit of multiple things.
.) I hate the acronyms LOL and WTF and LMFAO and OMG and TTYL and all of them, really.
.) The complete opposite of loving my hands? I hate my teeth. HATE THEM. I've had braces twice (once in 5th grade & when I was 19) and both times I neglected to wear my retainer like I should have. They haven't shifted all that much but I just feel like they are big and ugly and ugh I hate them. I often cover my mouth when I laugh. ECK!
.) I used to have the worst taste in boys. I was always the one to fall for the bad boy... thinking I could change them... enjoying the challenge. Unfortunately, TWO of my ex-boyfriends are currently serving time in prison. True story.
.) I wish I had freckles. I think they are too cute.
.) I must have white noise at all times. I hate silence. I sleep with a fan and sometimes sports radio.
.) I watch more TV than I care to admit. Seriously. I watch way too much TV... here are some of the shows that I watch on a regular basis... and I mean DVR if I have to: How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Bad Girls Club, Snapped, I Survived, Mystery Diagnosis, Dexter, Weeds, The Big C, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Kendra, Intervention, Storage Wars, The United States of Tara, True Blood, Seinfeld reruns, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Jerseylicious. & I'm sure I'm leaving some out...
.) I have a tattoo of a Clemson Tiger paw on my right hip. I've had it for 6 years & my parents have no idea. They would die. I really want a peace dove but doubt I'll ever get it.
.) I am obsessed with corny jokes. The cornier the better.
.) I hate the actual job of shopping. I buy mostly everything online. I avoid the mall like the plague.
.) I am a very "go hard or go home" type of person. I hate stopping something until it is completely finished. So much so that I will skip lunch or work late before I stop. I think that's why I bare down so hard when I write... and have a heavy foot on the gas pedal... and go overboard when shopping for other people... and clean a house in an hour.
