the common cold - i'm not convinced.

Blahhhh... I'm sick... still. I've had a non-stop headache since Wednesday of last week and my throat glands are all swollen. I started an antibiotic that I never had filled previously (turned out to be allergies that time) on Saturday, but no signs of recovery yet. I finally went to the doctor today on mom's orders & she says it is more than likely "the common cold virus." I'm just not convinced. I have felt like this off and on for a while now... the previous two times I went to walk-in clinic's and both times they've given me a shot of Prednisone and I've felt better in a few days. The weird thing is that I've never had a problem with allergies before... ever. The doctor today said that she doesn't think it is allergies because I don't have the whole sneezy, itchy, watery eyes thing going on... and to get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids. I felt like I just threw time & money down the drain. Hopefully she is right & I will start feeling better soon. I have to go to Columbia on Thursday for an overnight work conference & I don't want to feel all icky the whole time I'm there.

This past weekend was pretty uneventful. B had to work Friday night & since I wasn't feeling well after work... I just went home & was asleep by 8 p.m. Saturday was my friend's birthday... so I did a little shopping, went out with her for a while... but called it an early evening because of the not feeling well ordeal. I spent all day yesterday just loafing around the house watching football. We did take the dogs to the dog park for a little bit & that was nice... but other than that, sheer laziness ensued. On a lighter note, Clemson pulled out another win against Georgia Tech & the Pats came out on top against the Ravens. If nothing else, at least the weekend was a great one for football!

P.S. Last week I did manage to sell some stuff on e-bay and score myself a few extra dollars. In addition, I purchased a few item, as well.
